Jennifer Laughran has been an agent at Andrea Brown Literary Agency since 2007. She represents authors of YA and Children's books. Perhaps more importantly, though, she lives and works in Dutchess County, spitting distance from the Catskills, an area that was very much affected by Hurricane & Tropical Storm Irene.

Day 2, Item 1: Full MS Critique

Win proofreading/line-editing critique on a FULL manuscript. Rachel will note in detail any issues with punctuation, grammar, consistency, misspelling, word choice/appropriateness, structure (sentence, paragraph, and overall). She will also make minor notes on plot and character development, voice, setting, and dramatic tension, but the real focus of the edit will be on the line level.

Day 1, Item 9: Full Manuscript Critique

From Teen Eyes Editor Taryn Albright: 

Win a full manuscript read through with critique notes from the perspective of a teen. This is something only a teen can give: what your future reader would like to see. Although you initially have to impress editors and agents, your ultimate goal is for your story to resonate with teenagers.
